THE SWARM
(Strategic Work for Accountability, Reflection, and Mobilization)
is a volunteer advisory group that guides the collective action of CCLM from the HIVE, our clubhouse and community hub. Members provide insight, feedback, and recommendations to ensure that all CCLM programs, events, communications, and initiatives are intentional, inclusive, and impactful.
Purpose
Led by the Cultural Enrichment Chair, THE SWARM exists to provide guidance and feedback on CCLM programs, events, and communications, identify opportunities for growth, and suggest resources, speakers, or connections, advise on messaging, outreach, and engagement strategies, and support a culture of accountability, inclusion, and meaningful impact.
THE SWARM serves in an advisory capacity only; members are invited to guide and shape initiatives, but are not expected to implement, oversee, or manage programs, nor are they required to educate the club or share personal stories.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome volunteers with:
Lived experience or professional expertise in advocacy, collective action, or representing diverse communities
A desire to shape CCLM’s initiatives thoughtfully and collaboratively
The ability to provide insight without the expectation of representing an entire group or identity
Your perspective will help ensure that our work is inclusive, action-oriented, and aligned with our mission while fostering meaningful community impact.
Structure & Commitment
The SWARM will meet 1-2 times per quarter during the board year and include optional asynchronous participation opportunities. Participation is advisory only and involves providing feedback and recommendations on CCLM programing and initiatives, but members are not responsible for execution.
Benefits of Participation
Members of The SWARM will gain experience in leadership, advisory work, and strategic planning. The SWARM advisors are eligible for official volunteer hours through VMIS and/or signed documentation. Dirctly influence CCLM programming and community impact. Optionally, members may elect to be acknowledged in CCLM communications.
