Community Resources

Whether you’re brand new to JBLM or have lived here for a while, it’s helpful to know what resources are available in the community. So whether you are looking for social connections or services, this page lists links to organizations and programs on- and off-post that serve the military community and are generally available to those who live here.

We try to keep the links up to date, but sometimes urls change. If you encounter an out-of-date or broken link, or if you know about a resource that would fit on this page, email us at communications@communityclublm.org.

Food Assistance

Food insecurity is one of the biggest challenges our community experiences. It has no specific rank or demographic.

  • JBLM/MAMC consolidated list of local food services & assistance programs

  • ASYMCA has a brick-and-mortar Food Market on Lewis North. The Food Market has not yet officially opened for operation. ASYMCA is currently providing food assistance by popping up at residential Community Centers across the installation.

  • Stronghold Food Pantry provides grocery delivery for currently serving members of the military - Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve - regardless of rank. Ambassadors personally shop for balanced groceries and deliver them to your home with care and dignity. Apply for support through their Nationwide Support Application.

  • Support the Enlisted Project (STEP) can provide financial support to active duty service members in pay grades E1–E6 and veterans within 18 months of separation to help them through a period of food insecurity and/or other life event that has caused financial strain. Direct link to their application.

  • Feeding JBLM Facebook group is an active page of individually-run porch pantries within the on-base housing communities

  • McChord Food Pantry Facebook page is an individual-run porch pantry located on McChord

Social Groups

While CCLM offers several opportunities for our members to get together, such as our member mixers and luncheons, group volunteer opportunities, and our Sub Clubs, we realize we can’t meet everyone’s needs all the time. Finding your people makes such a difference during your time at a duty station, so we try to stay aware of other groups and organizations that are in our military community so we can help make those connections.
